OUR MISSION
It is the goal of International Christian Mission to be highly
effective in End-Time Harvest training by empowering nationals to
train their own people in the most cost-effective way.
Mission Statement
The mission of ICM is to:
- provide training materials and mobilize teams of writers
and editors to develop, write and produce these materials
which are relevant for training and making disciples for the
end-time harvest;
- mobilize and train teachers who can teach the materials
in local church environment and elsewhere;
- set up as many Training Centers as possible where men and
women can be equipped effectively as evangelists, pastors,
teachers and apostles;
- develop leaders and train the Body of Christ to church
plant based on the principles of God’s Holy Word; and
- achieve the above goals by the most expeditious method
and at a minimal cost.
The Vision
At no time in the history of
Christianity has the church seen the vast numbers coming to Jesus
Christ as today. Literally, tens of thousands are coming to the
Lord daily; and with growth comes the inevitable task of training.
In past revivals, many converts went back to their old ways because
of the lack of mature men and women who could nurture and train
then in the ways of the Lord and His Word.
Today many believers have accepted the challenge to win souls
for the Kingdom, ... But they lack the tools to do so EFFECTIVELY.
Although Bible Schools are doing their best to train leaders,
they are unable to meet the tremendous need created by this growth.
In 1982, International Christian Mission was given the vision
to partner with native missioners to train laborers for the End-Time
harvest, so that they might in turn reach out to their own from
within.
The Strategy
The goal of 1000 Bible Schools by the year 2000 appeared an impossible
task, especially when in 1992 we had built only 30 Bible Schools.
Clearly, a paradigm shift in our method of training was required.
ICM needed a strategy that would allow a cost effective Bible School
to go to the people instead of the people to the School. In short,
a Bible School in a briefcase ... A course of study that would be
succinct, but at the same time, soul-changing and life-nurturing.
In 1993, a training strategy in church planting and leadership
training was developed. This strategy caused the paradigm shift
in the organization that was so needed to meet the needs of the
emerging church and we called it "Church Planting Institute" or
CPI. Several manuals collated into modules to be studied over a
period up to 2 years is the backbone of CPI, and this took off like
a spiritual rocket in our beta-test country of the Philippines.
The Work of ICM
"Thus far the Lord has helped us"...and made it all happen" -
1 Sam 7:12. Needless to say, the logistics to carrying out such
a movement is as big as the strategy itself and needed men with
the specific gift of organization and follow-through. ICM has in
place, gifted and totally committed teams to meet this challenge.
Together, they have tirelessly labored to bring ICM's goal nearer
to closure and indeed to overflowing. All glory is to Him.
To date, ICM has helped in the establishment of over 10,000 CPI
training centers established in national churches in over 45 countries:
ICM closely follows through on accountability of implementation
by the pastor. To do this effectively, it has offices - in Singapore,
Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Myanmar, Thailand, the Ukraine
which are administered by both full time and part time staff. We
also have partnership projects in Cambodia, Burkina Faso and Kenya.
At the present time we have 20+ translations of the CPI (Church
Planting Institute).
We have only scratched the surface! The hunger of church leaders
everywhere we go is overwhelming. The task is too large for only
a few and we are asking the Lord to send more partners to join in
the reaping. We need your help. We need your intense prayers, your
financial investments, and we need some of you to come with us on
some of our trips and help train and prepare the many pastors who
are eager to reach the dying souls before it is too late. Can God
count on YOU? May we count on YOU?
