FIELD REPORT

Malaysia

ICM Malaysia is expanding at a phenominal rate. In this ethnically diverse nation they do training for English speaking, Tamil (Indian) speaking and Chinese speaking churches, but their fastest growing influence has been to an unreached people group called the Orang Asli who use Bahasa Malaysia. The graduates from this ethnic group have gone on to reach out to the other 18 ethnic groups in Malaysia. To date there have been 600 pastors and leaders trained in ICM's Church Planting Institute. Because of sharing basically the same language and the closeness in proximity to some of Indonesian islands, they have also set up an office in Indonesia and are doing extensive training there.
