Project: Tsunami Relief @ North Sumatra

Short
Term Plan: January to June 2005
- Purpose
- To minister to and aid victims of the recent earthquake
and subsequent tsunami which occurred on Dec 26, 2004
when the deadly tidal waves took many lives in North
Sumatra, specifically in Banda Aceh, Meulaboh and Nias
where the latest death toll is 236,012.
- To demonstrate God’s grace and love by providing
for their basic needs for the next six months.
- Our Organization
International Christian Mission (ICM), an international
and inter-denominational missions organization, was
incorporated in Dallas, Texas, USA as a non-profit organization
in 1982. It has beenactive in North
Sumatra for the last 2 years, pioneering
churches and raising pastors, using systematic
ICM Church Planting trainingmodules at the
grass roots level. ICM is committed to raisingend
time harvesters and to this long term service in this
region.

Our Mission
ICM, with the assistance and support of
its Bible Schools and local churches will mobilize aid
to survivors and families of victims in the North Western
part of Sumatra, the worst hit area by the earthquake.
Out of the total of 400 ICM graduates and students, ICM
can identify at least 200 of them who, together with ICM
Malaysia mission partners, will be able to coordinate
a grass roots support to local villages and Churches that
are in desperate and urgent need of food, water and shelter.
